Welcome, Karla!
Karla has known she wanted to be an artist since she owned her first set of Crayola washable markers in classic colors. She’s passionate about creating work that matters and can make a positive impact in the world. She moved to Connecticut at the end of 2018, and we’re glad she gets to fulfill that mission with us. Karla was born and raised in Mexico and moved to El Paso, Texas for college. She spent the last decade in Knoxville, Tennessee, working for Scripps Network, the parent company to TV channels like HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel.
On top of this work, Karla also makes and sells handmade accessories (check out her etsy shop- kaang.etsy.com) and has an adorable blog called Blastastic Day that features all the fun crafts she does with her son, Lennon. Follow her on Instagram @blastasticday!
